Did you know that neglected Clubfoot is one of the most frequently occurring manifestations of physical disability worldwide? Even though early treatment using the Ponseti Method is readily available, affordable, and has a 96% success rate, Clubfoot still often goes untreated in many parts of the world. This is due in large part to insufficient parent awareness and education, as well as cultural stigma. 75% of mothers in Kenya who give birth to a child with a disability, have experienced rejection by their husband and/or family members. And employment opportunities are often limited for adults whose Clubfoot goes untreated. We must try to challenge perceptions and empower families with the knowledge they need to help their children born with Clubfoot.
We are InvestED. We create and deploy compelling content that drives behavior change related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We are social entrepreneurs, technologists, educators, artists, consultants and ecosystem builders.
We have proof of concept that our content leads to behavior change. Women who watch our pregnancy care videos are more likely to deliver their babies with skilled birth attendants and seek antenatal care, and borrowers who watch our entrepreneurship videos are more likely to repay loans.

– What happens when someone with Clubfoot becomes an adult
– What the Ponseti Method is
– Use mobile technology to help direct them to the nearest clinic offering the Ponseti method.
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a collection of 17 interrelated global goals set out by the United Nations (UN). The SDGs are humanity’s most ambitious attempt to create the world most of us believe should exist. One without poverty, without preventable diseases, without war. We believe that SDGs, such as eliminating treatable disabilities, like Clubfoot, will only be accomplished if we come together and leverage scalable and inclusive technologies. Risks and challenges
Our team has a proven track record of making effective, story-driven animated videos in regional languages.The biggest risk is that it isn’t well received in the markets where we want to disseminate it. But we have to try. Clubfoot ruins lives, and it doesn’t need to.
As a for-profit social enterprise, InvestED must only create content people pay us for. Some of our customers include the World Bank, the Government of Liberia, Tala, and USAID. Some challenges we would like to address don’t necessarily have a clear customer – so we are turning to Kickstarter. We are turning to you.
